Travel Diaries: Vicenza Oro Trade Show, Italy

I remember visiting the Vicenza Oro Trade Show while I was a university student. I used to dream that this would be my life one day: working as a jewellery designer,  travelling to trade shows and sourcing gemstones, interacting with clients and manufacturers and meeting people who share the same passion for all things sparkly with me.

Fast forward to a couple of years later and my dream is now my reality. So naturally, when I visited Vicenza Oro in January I knew I had to share these moments with the person that believed in my dream since day one, my mum. She worked in the pearl industry for many years herself and seeing her in action during the fair was empowering. I really hope I am making her proud 😊

We stayed in Verona, which is possibly my favourite place in the world. Maybe it’s because I am an eternal romantic and the story of Romeo and Juliette, which took place in gorgeous Verona, is just too good. There is something about Italy, the food, the inherent style and history; I feel so inspired whenever I visit.

Until next time Verona,

Ready to enter the fair, can you tell it was freezing cold?

Selecting these stunning Tahitian baroque pearls, you will be seeing these more in my collection now.

Red Garnet, which we use for this stunning pair of earrings.

Me and mum posing with our girl Juliette. Possibly the most cliche shot, but who cares!

Love Lockets at Casa di Julietta.

We took a short train ride from Verona to Venice. What a beauty!
